I made PSE because I like weird public internet spaces.

PSE is one shared desktop.
Everyone sees the same folder tree.
Anyone with an account can create folders, create text files, edit files, and leave something behind.

There is no personal feed.
There are no likes.
There are no private messages.
There is no delete button.

The site remembers what you do.
Every action leaves history.
You cannot delete what you put here.

That is the point.

So do not post personal information.
Not your full name.
Not your address.
Not your phone number.
Not your school.
Not someone else's details.
Not some "inside joke" that still clearly exposes a real person.

If you put personal information here in any form, you are genuinely being stupid and ignoring the whole point of the site.

Stay anonymous.
Use a fake name.
Do not make it weird for yourself or for other people.

The goal is simple:
make something, find something, leave a message, start a rabbit hole, or just watch the mess grow.

Do not take this too seriously.
Have fun with it.
It is an experiment, and I honestly do not know where it will go yet.

I will keep tweaking and updating things when I can.
Stuff will probably break.
Some systems will change.
Features might get added, removed, or completely reworked.
We will see what happens.

Reports

You may have noticed the report button.

I am not a fan of needing it.
I do not want to babysit every weird text file someone makes.
I also do not want people wasting my time with reports just because someone wrote something dumb.

The report button exists because this site still runs on the real internet.
That means hosting rules, laws, and regulation bullshit still apply.

Use reports for actual problems:
personal information, illegal content, threats, serious spam, or anything that could get the site taken down.

Do not use it because you got annoyed.
Do not use it because someone made a bad joke.
Do not use it to be annoying.

I am one guy. Do not waste my time.

Write cooldowns

I want to give people as much freedom as possible, but I also need to stop spam.

Spam wastes server resources, data, and database space.
It makes the site slower.
It makes everything worse for everyone.

I pay for this myself.
There is no company behind this.
It is literally just one guy running an internet experiment.

So the cooldowns are there to keep the site usable, not to control what people do.

Cooldowns will probably change over time.
If they feel too strict or too weak, I will adjust them.

Final note

This is not meant to be some serious platform.
It is a strange shared desktop on the internet.

Use it.
Break the silence.
Make folders.
Write things.
Hide stuff in weird places.
Follow rabbit holes.
Leave something for someone else to find.

Just do not post personal information and do not make me regret hosting it.
